Sarah Zorn’s Cookbook Release Party
On Tuesday, December 10, Fletcher's Brooklyn BBQ hosted a private cookbook release party for author Sarah Zorn, whose book, Brooklyn Chef's Table, features a signature Fletcher's dish – barbecue chicken with Brooklyn white sauce. On hand were Zorn, Fletcher's owner Bill Fletcher and pitmaster Matt Fisher, who served up dishes such as burnt end borscht, beef tri-tip, sirloin served with mushroom and white gravy, smoked lamb, cornbread and banana pudding. Zorn’s book showcases famous dishes from “Brighton Beach’s impressive Russian cuisine to the red sauce dishes in Bensonhurst.” In all, it features detailed recipes from more than 50 of the borough’s best restaurants, such as L&B Spumoni Gardens, Buttermilk Channel and Al Di La, not to mention Fletcher’s Brooklyn BBQ.
