Every week we take a peak at new bars and restaurants opening in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Heights

Saul Bolton's Southern Italian restaurant Red Gravy is now hosting pasta night every Monday and Tuesday, when all pasta dishes on the menu cost $15!  The homemade pastas are made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and include dishes like orecchiette with spicy lamb sausage, broccoli rabe and ricotta salata; campanelle with clams, meyer lemon and breadcrumbs; and strozzapreti with calamari bolognese, neonata and marjoram.  151 Atlantic Avenue

Bushwick

Williamsburg's Variety Cafe has opened a third location! Bushwick Daily gives a great digital tour of the new space, which has tons of sunlight and open space.  This new headquarters will roast coffee beans for the other locations, as they shy away from Stumptown and start sourcing independently. Along with coffee drinks, the cafe also serves tea from Divinitea and pastries from Ceci Cola.  146 Wyckoff Avenue

Carroll Gardens

Opened earlier in 2014, Bar San Miguel is gaining traction on the Smith Street bar scene as a local hangout and Brooklyn destination! The Mexican bar features over 100 varieties of tequila, $9 cocktails, and a menu consisting of snacks like nachos and heartier dishes like lamb chops and chile relleno. 307 Smith Street

Crown Heights

Docklands, a new American bistro by chefs from Arcadia and Le Cirque opened this week.  The seasonal menu includes homey dishes like lobster macaroni and cheese balls, pan seared chicken with kale, and a winter pasta with prawns and cream sauce.  Guinness ice cream is available for dessert. Docklands serves sustainable seafood, grass-fed free range meats, organic poultry and milk, and sources produce locally.  789 Franklin Avenue

Red Hook

According to their Facebook page, New American restaurant Grindhaus will now servce weekend lunch!  The menu includes plain, sweet and savory pastries, salads and other things between their homemade bread. If weather permits, the backyard will be open! Six Point beers will be flowing and dinner will start as usual at 6.  275 Van Brunt Street
