While some Brooklynites may abandon Brooklyn this Labor Day weekend for beachfront views and secluded getaways, we've compiled a guide of things to do for those you who decided to stick around.

Friday

The Ultimate Go-In
Be sure your boss lets you out early for this party that’s all about girl on girl action. Selly and Rimarkable are among the guest DJs that will be rocking out Dekalb Market during its last days (scheduled to close September 30). 138 Willoughby Street, Downtown / $10 after 6pm, 3-10pm

Saturday

Makossa Brooklyn Cookout
DJs Parler and Shawn Dub get the party started at this Labor Day BBQ edition. Chill out in a Bed-Stuy backyard with friends, food and drinks galore. Brooklyn Tap House, 590 Classon Avenue, Bed-Stuy / Free, 2-10pm

Pajama Jam
Watering hole Brooklyn Stable encourages you to show up in your best sleepwear and spend the night dancing to  90s hip hop.  Just be sure you wear something that will remain intact for the 1am pillow fight. Brooklyn Stable, 486 Metropolitan Avenue, Williamsburg / Free, 10pm to 4am

Sunday

Labor Day BBQ
Fake your best English accent (okay, maybe not) and head to this English bar with an empty stomach – and friends – to load up on free burgers and dogs. Drinks for purchase. Monro Pub, 481 5th Avenue, Park Slope / Free, 2-4pm

Labor Day at Madiba
Things will be spilling out onto the sidewalk at this Fort Greene hotspot where a DJ, BBQ and drinks will keep things flowing. 195 Dekalb Avenue, Fort Greene / Free, 2pm

Monday

West Indian American Day Carnival & Parade
In its 44th year, the high energy Caribbean-themed parade will once again wind down Eastern Parkway displaying elaborate, colorful costumes, floats and thumping Jamaican, calypso, kompa and soca tunes. Eastern Parkway b/w Utica Avenue & Grand Army Plaza / Free, 11am to 6pm

Beats & BBQ
Free grub (free plate of food with each drink purchase) is the name of the game at this annual Labor Day Wind Down event. Dance off your meat coma with a roster of guest DJs including: Jose G (Face The Bass Radio), Ali Coleman (Voice of Voices NYC), Siren (Save the Robots) LP ‘n Harmony, 683 Grand Street, Williamsburg / Free, 3-11pm

Dub-a-Grub
We definitely advise you to get your tickets in advance for this Labor Day backyard soiree.  You and foes will be chilling in the garden of the guys wildly popular for serving foie gras doughnuts. Stir in DJ Rich Medina, beautiful weather and good drinks and we’ve got ourselves a not-to-be-missed event. Do or Dine, 1108 Bedford Avenue, Bed-Stuy / $20 & $35, 5pm to midnight

Labor Day Garden Party
Suckling pig Thai BBQ and Moo Juice cocktails are in order at this Australian & Asian fusion spot. Drink and eat away in their brand spanking new garden! Sunburnt Calf, 611 Vanderbilt Avenue, Prospect Heights / $10 suggested donation, 5:30pm

The Brooklyn Garage Lot Party
It's all about the BBQ, bands and booze at the event this craftsmen co-working space is hosting. Ride in on the subway or on bike and use their bicycle valet.  The $3 cocktails, Smoked Heritage hog and Van Leeuwen ice cream will make your trip worthwile.
