Event Description:

The Crown Heights Farmers Market is a vibrant, colorful oasis of locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and more at the corner of Albany and Lefferts Avenues near Hamilton Metz Park every Thursday from noon to 7 pm. Featured farmers include Iona Hill Farm of New Jersey and Jamerican Farmer Rodrick Brown, who delights Caribbean folks each week with his callaloo, plus fresh lime/lemonade with mint and parfaits from the Hip2B Healthy Market, run by 5th graders at Public School 221.

The market features special free activities every week for young and old: composting workshop, writers workshops, art, gardening, cooking, puppet shows, music and more.

The market is sponsored by Seeds in the Middle, empowering schools, children, families and communities to access all they need to get healthy.
