Best Monday Ever
The best thing you can do to reduce stress and recover from the Monday blues is to attend Get Happy. Pack something to throw and ask your drummer friend if you can borrow their drumsticks. The newest late-night talk show from the producer of PUNDERDOME 3000 is the only show where audience members get to scream, throw things and run around with no judgment. When you make it back to your seat listen to a clarinet band with a rock star edge and watch a live debate. Celebrity guests Lukas Kaiser (Spike TV) and Henry Zebrowski (Murderfist) will also make an appearance. Afterwards, stick around for a free late night hip hop dance class.
Where: Cameo Gallery, 93 North 6th Street, Williamsburg
Remember those animated crime fighting turtles that loved pizza, took advice from an overgrown rat (standard size for New York) and who became close friends with a cute human reporter? If you’re a true fan then you probably never missed any of the live action movies when they hit the theaters either. The academy never gave awards to the lovable turtles but that never stopped studios from producing the movies. That was until a script was written that was so bad that even Michael Bay wouldn’t attempt to make it into a blockbuster. Watch a live reading of Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles script that never made it to the big screen. The plot features romance, evil doers, and aliens. Dun dun dun.
Where: Union Hall, 302 Union Street, Park Slope

Movies at Sunset
Celebrate getting over a bad case of cabin fever with outdoor movies in the beautiful backyard of Lavender Lake. Not only do you get to be in the company of good people and fill up on great food near the Gowanus Canal but you get to watch both North by Northwest and Midnight Run.

Entrées and Entendres
Brooklyn Brewery and Edible Brooklyn team up for Get Schooled: Food Media 101. If you like writing about food as much as eating it then you’ll want to be in the room as editors, food writers and bloggers share their recipes to compose mouth watering compositions about food.
Where: Brooklyn Brewery, 79 N. 11th Street, Williamsburg
